Mercedes has already introduced the engine in the R 63 and ML 63. The engine is capable of producing 510 hp at 6800 rpm, though Mercedes is expected to up- or de-tune it slightly for various applications. Previously, rumors had suggested Mercedes would only introduce the engine in all-new models, however it appears vehicle like the CLK â which have been on the market for some time â will also receive the latest AMG treatment in their current form. An all-new CLK-Class is expected in 2007 or 2008. The CLS was first introduced in 2005 model. Spy photographers also recently captured what is purportedly a C 63 AMG sedan.

Mercedes says the reworked engine, with 612 hp at 4750 rpm and an enormous 738 lb-ft of torque beginning at 2000 rpm, should be slightly faster than an S600 and should match the older S65âs 0-to-62-mph time of 4.4 seconds, despite a small increase in weight. Top speed is limited to 155 mph, though buyers of all high-end AMG models these days can pay extra to have the electronic limiter recalibrated to 186 mph.
This looks to be a very very cool car. 0-60 in 4.4 sec. WOW!

Just changed out my dead battery in my 2001 c-240. Now I have the following problems:
1)Trunk will not unlock with remote or key or console.
2)Gas gauge shows empty no matter what.
3)ESP not functioning.
4)Turn signals not working.
Other than that, I can operate vehicle. Everything else appears to be okay.
I did charge the old battery without disconnecting either + or - terminal.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
