Audi to Unveil Diesel-Powered V12 R8
by adminAudi has announced that it will be publicly unveiling two new cars at this year’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit, starting January 13. One will be a “stunning” concept car, and the other will be a production model. While it remains unclear which of these two categories it will fall under, one of the new whips will be an Audi R8 powered by the brand’s V12 TDI diesel engine. According to Autoblog, “the car is projected to have around 500bhp/738 ft-lbs of torque, accelerate to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds and return 28 mpg, presumably on the highway.” The only downside is that the bigger engine will eat up all the trunk space. Although the V12 R8 is most likely the new concept, we hope to see it in production form sometime soon.
