Gas Mileage
by adminIve just noticed how big of a difference the mileage is on my RSX as compared to the camry i drove before it.
I make a 30 minute commute to and from school 5 days/wk. in the camry, this would easily kill 3/4+ of a full (16+ gallon) tank, then the rest woudl go to whatever i did on the weekends. Now that i have my new car, look at the difference: Since i last filled up (13.2 gallon tank), ive made this 60 minute round trip SIX times, and the needle just dropped below the halfway mark today. I pay LESS at the pump due to smaller tank (even with premium, im saving a good $7-10), and while some people like to have a larger tank and refill less often, im STILL going to be filling up less often with the new car as opposed to the camry with a larger gas tank.
to me, this is really amazing. my car makes damn near double the horsepower of the camry, and im saving money on gas. granted, it IS a smaller car, but its not like the camry is an SUV hauling around 4,000 lbs either…
Bottom line? looking for a nice car with good mileage? Get something with a honda engine! My car is even lower mileage wise than the base model RSX, and i dont even need to mention the civic which gets mileage like a hybrid car on a regular gasoline engine.
