More on the Fiat Oltre
by adminFound a bit more information on the Oltre.. should be interesting to see how much it changes from the Concept if it ever hits production. It is one heavy vehicle, that is for sure.

Fiat is unveiling this Hummer-like concept at the Bologna Motor Show this week. Based on the Fiat-Iveco Light Multirole Vehicle that will be used by the armies of Great Britain and Italy, the ââ¬ÅOltre Fiatââ¬Â has all the rugged attributes of the military version, plus the bling of a show car.
Underneath, itââ¬â¢s all military: full-time 4WD with three locking differentials, 20-inch ground clearance, fully independent suspension with coil-over shocks, six-speed automatic transmission, and Ivecoââ¬â¢s 3-liter, 4-cylinder common-rail diesel powerplant. Good enough to climb an 80 percent grade and hit a top speed of 130 kph.
The stout 7.7 ton (thatââ¬â¢s not a typo!) vehicle has a payload capacity near 3.5 tons, and will seat 4 or 5, depending on configuration.
