Its about time to upgrade my suspension and I wanted to know what coilovers are rated the best in road comfort and of course performance.
Seeking the comfort of a BMW -lol.
Coilovers in mind:
Bilstein, H&R, HKS, Tien, Ground Control, etc.
Hi there, quick question.. I just recently bought subs for my 2003 honda civic coupe ex and while installing the wiring I cant seem to figure out how to get the factory head unit out of the console. I dont want to damage any of the trim if I was to just rip it out. Any help would be appreciated(especially a link to some detailed pics would be great). Thanks.
my friend had a civic that was fairly new but he wanted to sell it so i bought it. i had a custom mechanics shop mount an older smallcar fram under it and they put a fuel injected cadillac motor in it. after it was on the frame and the motor was in they had to build a custom hood and they put a body kit on it cause the frame mad it look like it had  a suspension lift.. anyways its pretty sweet but it drained my bank account and i had to take a loan too
i just installed a used engine, when engine warms up 15 min. oil pressure drops below 10 psi and drops lower when raising rpms. the engine was suppose to have only 81k, but the head was pretty caked below the valve cover
Hi, I am new here but have been lurking for a while, I will try not to ask the dumb questions.  First of all I know my civic is an auto, since my wife also drives the car, she needs an auto trans due to physical limitations.
I have the list of things that I want to do, and the order to do them in.  I have noticed there is not much info past the 2000 model year, what I have noticed on my car, (03 civic lx, 1.7L coupe) is that the exhaust manifold seems to have the cat integrated into it.  Also that there is no CAI systems for it, after inspecting the front end, it looks like there is no place to route CAI.
Now for the questions.
1. Since CAI is not available, is a short ram better than the stock intake?
2. Are there any options to make the trany to shift harder?
3. With the cat being integrated with the exhaust manifold, what are my header/exhaust options.
Thanks for the info in advance.
Dave.
Might be older than dirt but it was new to me.

hey,
i planned to get my car lower than stock height….what shud i do for it…..?
First off…Hi. I am new to the forum here
, and also this is the first Honda, and fist non 4×4 Automobile I have owned. My job now requires that I drive 70 miles to and 70 miles home from the office, and my 12 MPG 4×4 was killing me! So, the wife and I decided to give her my truck, and we traded her older (1999) SUV in for a brand new 2004 Civic LX Sedan. Its a nice looking dark blue pearl with ……gasp…wheel simulators! I had the dealer install the rear trunk lid spoiler, the driving lights that are fitted to the front facia, and the molded splash guards to keep the paint from being destroyed in the Pennsylvania winters.
Thats how I came to own the car, now onto the question. The car is 1 day old, I like it…it rides nice and is quiet to drive. The 1.7 liter engine is a not too bad, but I am sure there are some helpfull and "not to expensive mods" that can enhance the car without killing the 38 MPG. I would like to spend upto $1500 but not more than that. I would consider exhaust, but not the LOUD (read that as annoying) kind I see running around. I am 33 yrs old, so I am not interested in impressing "chicks" with my drive by noise ;D . I have called the guys at 2kracing and they pointed me towards the AEM-22503 Short Ram Intake for $129, and I asked about the pulley that slows down the accesories that is approx $160. What would some of you more experianced tuners do to enhance the driving experiance without ruining the cars reliability and economy? I guess I am looking for a blueprint for making this car the best it can be, and I am asking for help in this area that I am unfamiliar with. Feel free to email me or post here, I will check back often as I can.
Thank you for any help you may offer.
Larry (New to the Honda world)
1996 dark green Civic coupe, 5 speed.  1.6 L d16y8 sohc.  Paint is in fair condition…I recommend a new coat. engine runs perfect.  has new header(ractive), cam(comp), cam gear(AEM), ram air intake, fuel filter.  Needs cat-back, only has muffler.  I also recommend some tuning done to the timing after a c at-back, i did some myself and got some extra power…but I know there is more potential.  American Racing Sniper 17×7 wrapped in Kumho 712 ecsta.  No rips or tears in the interior.  Theres  a crack in the dash and a small piece missing where the A/C housing is, this can be easily replaced ( i am taking off $300 for it).  has new pioneer 6.5 2-way front speakers in front, and sony xplode 2-way 6×9s in the rear. the sound is great even without an amplifier.  It has a code alarm which works great.  the car needs a piece of fender molding on the driver front wheel well(i am taking off $50 for it).  the skirt-molding is cracked also(i am taking $100 off for it).  Headlights are HID with clear corners, taillights are carbon fiber altezzas…i have the originals for both sets.  glass is perfect, A/C blows very cold, heater is great.  transmission needs to be looked at…in third there is a slight non-interrupting grind.  i change the oil every 3000 miles.  i will be doing my best to fix a few of these problems.  so I might be updating.  asking price is 5800-450  =  $5350.  email  me at biosynthetyk@otmail.com with any questions or if you want some pictures.
