By advancing the timing, does that leave both valves open for longer? ÂÂ*and which setting is the best? ÂÂ* Is it the longer both valves are open ÂÂ*the better? ÂÂ*or is there a bell curve with that. ÂÂ*For example, tuning to 5 degrees advanced is better then 2 or 7 degrees

I have a 98 tsi fwd and for the last few months first gear pops out as soon as the car is moving….every other gear is fine…anybody know what this could be?
