About six months ago I bought my 97 eclipse GS and I have checked and changed all the flluids in it and now I want to change the timing Belt because i do not know if it has ever been Changed and it does not look to bad but does not look in great shape. so what is the best way to change a timing belt or tip and hints.
By advancing the timing, does that leave both valves open for longer? ÂÂ*and which setting is the best? ÂÂ* Is it the longer both valves are open ÂÂ*the better? ÂÂ*or is there a bell curve with that. ÂÂ*For example, tuning to 5 degrees advanced is better then 2 or 7 degrees
ÂÂ*
And is installing ÂÂ*a cam gear and tuning it really hard?
   same thing with underdrive pulleys
